Anyone know what is the absolute cheapest return flight from UK to Chicago or do any of these budget companies do cheap deals? Or cheapest to US with approx cost for a link to Chicago, interior flight, train or bus?

Norwegian Air have just opened this route, flying to and from Gatwick, , and they're likely to be one of the cheapest.

www.skyscanner.net is your best friend ever.

Definitely skyscanner.net

Also check flights from Amsterdam and Frankfurt as they can be a lot cheaper but sometimes aren't picked up by skyscanners algorithm.

Sometimes it’s cheaper to fly to a non eu country then fly to USA but the faffing about it hardly seems worth it

Skyscanner
Google flights
Southall Tavel get good prices and you get to talk to a real person .

Can't recommend a flight, but don't recommend BA for long haul.

I am pretty sure that in the past I have checked prices on the Skyscanner app, and then their website and prices varied a bit.
Tripadvisor is a another good one.
Also, check out the actual airlines website, sometimes cheaper than the above mentioned.

Definitely thinking of going to c a Bears game in Sept. Fixtures haven’t come out as yet. Just need recommendations where to stay and decent bars to go to. Your help is greatly appreciated 👍

Like I said head down to Rush and Union for bars. I was staying at the Hilton next to the Hancock Center. Good places around there as well. If you like Jazz.

Re: Flights to US (Chicago)
Thing is with Norwegian is once you factor in that you have to pay for your luggage on top... and your grub, drinks etc... and their lousy departure times then you are no better off going normal routes

Fly to Iceland and then fly from there.

Lee Trundle 3:53 Fri Apr 6
Re: Flights to US (Chicago)
NS - Drinks and food are free when you fly to the US with Norwegian.

You pay a title extra if you take baggage, but its still WAY cheaper than BA and most other airlines. I'd honestly rather pay a little extra and not fly BA considering how useless they are nowadays.

Used to do something similar with the boomerang flights to Dublin and then to the US.... lot of hassle and to be honest you never saved that much... anyway was nice seeing Dublin for all of 10 hours... when I say Dublin I meant the Holiday Inn at Dublin... only good thing was we done US clearance at Dublin airport so did not have to bother with immigration queues in the US

Re: Flights to US (Chicago)
1 flight a day as well Trunds.... if it goes tech you are fucked... I have thought long and hard about it but to save £50 or whatever pp it was not worth the aggro for us... Skyscanner on alerts all the way for me...
